HARITSONS Group has been actively involved for the last 5 decades in mining and processing of minerals such as IRON ORE, GEMSTONES, BENTONITE, DIATOMACEOUS EARTH, MULTANI MITTI, and various other minerals, both in India as well as Southern Africa.
Now, HARITSONS group is poised to become the largest player in Bentonite production in Rajasthan. For this purpose, it has established large infrastructure in the Barmer district of Rajasthan, which is the Bentonite hub.
HARITSONS has an in-house engineering R & D division and has also designed, manufactured, and exported specialized equipment for gemstone and diamond exploration, mining, and beneficiation. The customers have included United Nations Development Project (UNDP), Diamond Exploration divisions of Reliance, Jindal, National Mineral Development Corporation Ltd., Geological Survey of India, Kagem Mining Limited (Zambia), and others.
HARITSONS group has 4 mining leases for Bentonite in the Barmer District of Rajasthan. All four are on land owned by HARITSONS group companies.

HARITSONS AKLI Bentonite Mines: This area has the maximum number of Bentonite mining leases in Barmer. It is said to have an approximate geological reserve of 300 million tons, according to various published data. There are many bentonite mines in the Akli area that have been producing continuously for the last 30-40 years. Thus, the quantum of deposit in our two leases may even exceed the geological deposit mentioned in the mining plans. In one of our pits, we have gone down to nearly 80-90 feet, dug a pit about 15 feet deep, and the deposit is still observed to continue below the ground.
RAWAT KA GAON: This mining land is situated on main Shiv to Gadra Road. The RKG area is historically known to have a special grade of Bentonite, which can be upgraded by activation. Therefore, the value of this material is much more than that of Akli, which cannot be upgraded. There are only a very few Bentonite mining leases in this belt and with a lot of effort and exploration, HARITSONS acquired land for 2 mining leases here and also has a large parcel of land for further expansion.

HARITSONS’ Bentonite factory land is the largest of any bentonite factory in Rajasthan. The land is nearly 17 acres and has been fully converted to Industrial Land. So there is a big scope for expansion of our industry.
The factory shed of HARITSONS Bentonite Factory is of international standards and also the largest and most modern compared to any other bentonite factories in Barmer.

SPECIALISED PRODUCTS FOR TARGET INDUSTRIES:
“MONT MORILLON ™ P” is a Super Selected, Super fine bentonite that is sourced from our own mines in Barmer. It passes the bacteriological tests that are required for use in the Pharmaceutical industry. The particle size is between 400 to 500 mesh.
“MONT MORILLON ™ C” is a Super Selected, Super fine bentonite that is sourced from our own mines in Barmer. It passes the bacteriological tests that are required for use in Cosmetics. The particle size is between 400 to 500 mesh.
GEMSBOND ™ – AF is pure and selected bentonite for animal feed applications. It is non-swelling Calcium bentonite that comes from our own mines in Barmer. The particle size ranges from 150 mesh to 350 mesh, depending upon customers’ requirements.
GEMSBOND ™ F is bentonite for use in fertilizer making. It gives good pellet strength and comes from our own mines.
GEMSBOND ™ C is the bentonite for use in Civil Engineering – Piling, Pond Lining, etc.
GEMSBOND ™ IOP is the bentonite with higher iron ore percentage and gives good binding strength to Iron Ore Pellets.
